Discription

This privacy tool aims to put you in the driver's seat by letting you restrict access to your PC. However, we had difficulty applying some of our restrictions.
InTouch Lock has a seemingly straightforward user interface, which can be accessed from your taskbar. A menu on the left side of the window organizes your system into access categories, including files, system, shell, devices, Internet, and applications. Within each of those categories are options for hiding your taskbar, disabling your desktop, lock files and Control Panel applets. The Lock Screen function worked, as did the Task feature, which successfully logged us off our computer at the designated date and time. We were also able to restrict access to specific files and applications. However, whenever we tried to disable our taskbar and desktop, nothing happened when we clicked the Apply button. The program is password-protected, though you'll need to go through the Settings menu to enter your password.
The program comes with a standard 30-day trial period, which is more than enough time to find your bearings. An extensive Help file is also available to walk you through the program, but it held no answers for our troubles. While there were many things we liked about this easy to use program, we can't fully recommend it based on its hit and miss performance.
